About Us

Learning Partnership West (LPW) exists to inspire future aspiration and ensure that no child or young person is left without help.

Through play work, youth work and the provision of alternative education our relentless care and personalised approaches are underpinned by trauma-recovery.

We support all children and young people between the ages of 6-25 to build on their strengths, abilities and talents; overcome barriers to engagement and education; and to develop their own resilience and capability, because we believe every child and young person can reach their potential.

Meet new people, gain new skills, make a different to children, young people and your community

Volunteer at LPW

As an LPW Volunteer, you will be providing much needed support to the South-West’s most at-risk Children and Young People (CYP), whilst gaining valuable experience and insight into the work that we do. You’ll get to witness our CYP’s achievements and best moments, and help them overcome obstacles to fulfil their potential.

Perhaps you’d like to become a Volunteer in order to gain some work experience, give back to the community, or you’re looking to get a taste of what a career with LPW might look like before taking the leap and applying for a paid position with us. Whether your skills lie in play-work, youth outreach and engagement, teaching, music, arts and crafts, or administration and office work, we’d love to hear from you!
